With a passion for health and wellness and a career spanning many years, Rebecca is devoted to the healing of others.
Rebecca is passionate about connecting people to their physical bodies and enabling the body’s innate ability to heal itself. She believes that acupuncture can facilitate healing, as it supports the free flow of Qi (Chi) and Blood throughout the body, alleviating stagnation - which can be a cause of disease and encouraging the body to return to its natural state of balance.
Rebecca has worked in the health care industry as a Registered Nurse in rural and metropolitan Emergency Departments for the past 15 years. She consistently strives to broaden her knowledge, skills and understanding of health and the body, having witnessed the trajectory of many chronic diseases throughout her career. She is an avid yoga student and teacher who has a natural spiritual affinity and appreciates the deep connection between mind, body and soul.
Rebecca was introduced to the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine when she began seeing a practitioner for workplace ‘burnout’. Years of working in fast paced, high tension hospitals had taken a toll on her endocrine and nervous systems. After experiencing the positive effects of acupuncture in her own life, Rebecca was inspired to investigate and learn more about this intriguing, ancient form of medicine.
Rebecca believes that health is multifactorial and that the integration of Western and Eastern medicine, diet, lifestyle and spirituality is fundamental to achieving optimal health. She is devoted to educating, empowering and encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their health needs while supporting them through positive health changes.
Rebecca has a particular interest in women’s and children’s health, auto immune and chronic diseases, endocrine and metabolic disorders, insomnia, anxiety and depression.
