A Little About Me
Well, this is a hard one.
Who am I?
I guess I have already answered your question, a deep thinker at heart.
You can usually find me doing multiple things at once at home: cooking something nourishing, reading a book, and trying to relax with a few facial acupuncture needles in. I can only imagine what the neighbours would think if they happened to catch sight of me. There is also a very good chance I am catching up on my not so secret love of cheesy fantasy novels or true crime.
I love tea. I love coffee. So yes, I may occasionally be a little hypocritical in the clinic when we talk about reducing caffeine, but I promise I understand that we are all human and I too drink it all.
I have always been drawn to nature, herbs, the body, and the quieter layers of health. I was the kind of person who always had my head stuck in a book, asking big questions and trying to understand why we are the way we are, and honestly, not much has changed.
When I was younger, I think I was searching for something that felt a little bit like magic. These days, I understand it differently. I do not think healing is about finding magic outside of ourselves, but about remembering the wisdom already within us. Chinese Medicine has given me a language for that, a way to understand the body, the emotions, nature, and the subtle ways we can come back into balance.
So, who am I? Part acupuncturist, part book nerd, part philosopher, and, if you have not already noticed, occasionally a little sarcastic.
From Ballarat to the Gold Coast
I grew up in Ballarat, Victoria, and moved to the Gold Coast around a year and a half ago. So if you ever feel tempted to complain about the cold, just know that I may lovingly struggle to take you seriously. That being said, I have completely fallen in love with the Gold Coast. The warmth, the beaches, the lifestyle, the slower mornings, the ocean air, it has been such a beautiful place to begin this next chapter.
My Approach to Chinese Medicine
As a practitioner, I am deeply curious and probably always will be. I love studying different styles of acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, whether that is classical acupuncture, Master Tung, Kiiko-style approaches, cosmetic and facial acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, herbal medicine, or anything that helps me better understand the body. I believe each approach has its place, and I am always looking for ways to refine my treatments and better support the people who come into my care.
What I Love to Treat
My clinical interests are broad, but I have a particular passion for women's health, skin health, fertility, hormonal balance, pregnancy, emotional wellbeing, stress, digestion, sleep, and the way our internal health can show up externally. I love the way Chinese Medicine looks at the whole person, not just one symptom in isolation.
For me, acupuncture is not just about placing needles. It is about listening deeply, noticing patterns, supporting the nervous system, and helping people reconnect with their body in a way that feels gentle and empowering.
Sometimes that means working with pain or tension.
Sometimes it means supporting someone through fertility treatment, pregnancy, stress, grief, burnout, skin changes, or a season of transition.
And sometimes, it is simply giving someone an hour where they can pause, breathe, and feel held. I am a big believer that healing does not need to feel rigid, linear, or perfect. In my own experience, healing has not always been straightforward. It has been a bit messy, actually, at times, a lot messy, but still deeply meaningful. I think there is something really human in that. We do not always heal in a neat, graceful way. Sometimes we stumble through it, learn as we go, and slowly find our way back to ourselves.
Let's Work Together
I feel very lucky to do this work and to work alongside a beautiful team at Vyne Health. I genuinely care about going above and beyond for my patients. Whether you are coming in for acupuncture, fertility support, cosmetic facial acupuncture, pain, stress, or simply because you feel a little out of balance, my hope is that you feel listened to, supported, and treated as a whole person.
And if you love books, tea, herbs, or fantasy novels, we will probably get along very well.
